Extinction is something that is gone forever and is never coming back, while todays world is continuing to change we have now been put to a greater task into saving our endangered species from extinction, or are we threatening more of our wildlife with extinction ? According to IUCN Red List there are about 38,500 species threated with Extinction. The remaining species are, Amphibians 41%, Mammals 26%, Conifers 34%, Birds 14%, Sharks & Rays 37%, Reef Corals 33%, And Selected Crustaceans 28%.

Threats

Most of the threats comes from us humans as our population is increasing the wildlife population decreases, by decreasing we are talking from 68% to 70% declined in our wildlife population in the past 50 years and will continue to decrease if no one stands up to do something about this world wide issue.

Deforestation is a big threat to our wildlife as these ecosystems are severely damage and replaced with commercial and residential buildings , habitat destruction, degradation, fragmentation, overexploitation, poaching, hunting, pollution and climate change are all threats as well and have driven some of our species into the brink of extinction.

Problem

As the days keep on going the problem continues as more of our species are facing extinction due to poaching , recently the Galapagos conservancy said to have shockingly discovered 15 dead threatened tortoises 2 of which had been freshly killed on the southern Isabela island.

Officials have already been notified and are doing everything they can to prevent and protect these threatened species which threats are most likely linked to whalers and early colonist as poaching still continues and illegal global wildlife trade is still a problem.

The world faces a global extinction crisis never seen in our lifetime and as for us humans be responsible for such crime towards our wildlife.

Finding A solution

Our wildlife is so important not just to us humans but to the planet that we are living in, every living organism is connected in a way linked through the universe itself or spiritually.

In Order to prevent extinction we must change the way we think and see things just because humans are not going extinct doesn’t mean we shouldn’t care about the ones who are. Nonprofit organizations , like Oceana, Olpejeta, WWF, and other nonprofits is a good way to help by donating towards them and supporting their efforts in conserving wildlife.

There are countless ways you can help save and protect wildlife from extinction and their threats. Efforts are being made, The Centers for disease control and prevention pushes forward into making A one health organization where we not only care for the health of humans but so do animals as the goal of achieving optimal health out come which recognizes the interrelationship between people, animals, plants and their shared environment.

By doing this not only do we focus on helping our planet be more healthy and disease free but we are also helping animals from becoming extinct earth is a place where both humans, nature and animals should coexist.
